Menstrual products are basic necessities for people with periods. Yet, according to data from PERIOD’s State of the Period Study, 1 in 4 students who menstruate struggle to purchase period supplies due to lack of income. This issue - known as period poverty, forces students to miss school, adults to miss work, and people with periods to miss out on daily life because they can’t access these basic necessities. If you believe all students should have access to free period products in school restrooms, ask your state senator to support LB 1050. #PeriodSuppliesAreSchoolSupplies
