Mediation

Mediation is a structured, interactive process in which a neutral third party (your McGill Law mediator) assists the disputing parties to resolve their conflict through the use of specialized communication and negotiation techniques. Our goal is to help the participants work through the conflict to peaceful solution.

The root of conflict is often emotions and feelings that go well beyond the issues at hand. These emotions tend to boil over into any legal process and become barriers to participants’ communication and understanding.

A McGill Law mediator helps participants listen and empathize with each other so that there can be more understanding, growth, and acceptance.

McGill Law offers mediation services in the following areas:

  • Parenting Plans

  • Divorces

  • Probate Cases (Guardianship & Estate Conflicts)

  • School Issues

  • General Family Conflict

  • Employment Conflicts
